Tennis Courts at Rustic Canyon Park
A fund-raising drive has started by members of Rustic Canyon Park's Park Advisory Board (PAB) to fundraise not only to help fix the fences and far court damaged by last December's falling trees but also to update the courts and adjacent pathways. (Add flyer)
Historic Canyons
We are part of the original Spanish land grant to the Reyes-Marquez families - Rancho Boca de Santa Monica - whose family burial plot, the Pascual Marquez Family Cemetery - still lies within Santa Monica canyon. Recent efforts by the Marquez Family and the canyon community have resulted in a historic designation for the family cemetery and a successful fund-raising campaign to acquire land in front of the family plot for the community. For a history of Rancho Boca de Santa Monica, visit the Cemetery website.

First Post.
We live in an amazing area of two coastal canyons, streams, historic trees, two parks, noted architecture and the Pacific Ocean at our doorstep. We are coming together as a community, working through our historic Santa Monica Canyon Civic Association on a website and blog to celebrate what we have and help all of us make it even better.
